Eric is a Managing Director with Lazear Capital Partners, based in Tampa, Florida.  Eric leads the Florida market, working with business owners considering their exit/transition options.   By focusing on the owner’s unique set of financial and non-financial goals, he collaborates with the owner and Lazear’s execution team to tailor an optimized solution for the owner’s exit and the future of the company they built.

Eric draws upon his 35 years of knowledge gained and relationships built as a commercial banker.  In addition to an extensive banking career focused primarily on M&A financing, Eric has lived the entrepreneurial experience having founded and ultimately sold his own business.   From the lessons learned building his business to the mistakes made exiting five years later, Eric combines perspectives gained and his financial expertise to add wide-ranging value during owner’s transition planning process.

Eric grew up in Columbus, Ohio and is a life-long Buckeye fan.  He graduated cum laude with a finance and real estate degree from University of South Carolina, received his MBA from the University of South Florida and is an alumnus of the premier banking school in the United States, Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
